Today we had our annual “Ladie’s Christmas” luncheon to officially kick off the holiday season. I always look forward to celebrating the beginning of the festivities with family and friends. So, fun. Everyone dressed up in their red and green, with plenty of sparkle too!! This time of year I pull out my family “Colors” or tartan. “Allison” is Scot and has been the eldest daughter’s namesake for about 250 years. Good heritage and I love tartan plaids with a family history and tradition. I”m flattered by the comments I get when wearing this beautiful rendition of our family name. This time of year wool or mohair plaids are every where in almost any beautiful coloration imaginable. These plaids are at home in any interior. Recently, I saw this great image of a Dedon settee with ottoman and thought, “How fitting for the season.”

I could sit here with a cocktail for hours. Non?  (via)
