I have thought about this project many times and thought I might share a peek. Our client wanted a cool redesign of her dining area, well actually, it started as “ I need a new dining room table” and moved to an remodel of the top floor of their home! I took on the challenge. We opened up an entire south facing wall and installed a movable window wall to expand the ocean vistas. It continued from there. It did take a while until we got to the dining room but it is, fabulous. The space was tricky as it is long and narrow with a stairwell ending directly across from the dining area. I chose to keep the dining space where it was and use the stairwell as a art installation. Our client has wonderful colorful art pieces. This worked well because the art can be seen through the entire area plus guests can gaze upon something beautiful while sipping wine or chatting at the table. Voilà. Our client entertains frequently in intimate groups and we thought the table from Christian Liaigre  (just released at the time) was a great fit. The finish and shape of this table is sublime. We added a custom tufted bench and the CL leather chairs have a formal or casual vibe. From the lighting to the wall paper, the furnishings we chose are perfect for the style and function of this lovely space. Everyone is pleased. PS: the project enabled us to use some of our favorite vendors too. I always love that!!Stone-Dining-Project-Peek
