I love over the top, intricate tile and stone for small powder rooms and baths. The use of highly dramatic color and shine adds breadth and depth to even the smallest of spaces. I am currently working on the redesign of a powder room that is small in scale with really tall ceilings. Like 12′. Now that may sound tall and thin, it is, but there is lots of opportunity to turn a mediocre room into a powerful dramatic jewel. First, some spectacular lighting, then amazing metallic tiles. I’d love an organic slab with tons of movement but think this is not the right venue. On my Pinterest board, Bains et Chic, I have collected some great images as inspiration. The powder room is the perfect place to show off your creativity and whimsy with unique custom appointments. Don’t you love the metallic impact of tile? Or if given the space a wow, natural slab with gorgeous organic movement? Pretty, huh?

Oh, the malachite slab is out of this world. I want.
